Hey fellow simracers!

Discussion in 'Introduce Yourself' started by Kalle Kouri, Aug 30, 2014.

  1. Your Full Name
Kalle Kouri a.k.a. KeiKei (it's a combination of famous Finnish F1 drivers Keijo "Keke" Rosberg and Jyrki "JJ" Järvilehto [IMG])

    Your Age
39 years at the time of writing (30.8.2014)

    Where are you From
Born in Kuopio, Finland but after three years or so our parents moved into a tiny village located at northern Finland called Pelkosenniemi. Or as some call it Melkosenpieni (which is Finnish and means quite small [IMG]). Translation into English would be something like Cape Fear. Nowadays I live at Rovaniemi - the home of Santa Claus located right on top of arctic circle.

    Your Bio
Software designer. Programmer. System Specialist. F1 fan. Simracing enthusiast. Loves sports; been doing all kinds of sports during my short life for example freestyle (on skiis), snowboarding, football, karate, snowmobiling, badmington, table tennis, floor ball, rink ball, ice hockey... guess I'm some kind of sports enthusiastic. Our family consists of my beloved girlfriend (been around for 19 years already [IMG]) and our crazy Jack Russell Terrier!

How long have you been sim racing?
Well basically since day one. I think my first "driving simulation" was somewhere in the mid 80's. We had these Swedish computers called Compis at our school and it had this extremely simple driving game which name I can't remember anymore but anyway I was already mesmerized... [IMG] Grand Prix Legends was amazing! Papyrus Nascar series was great too but after that had about 10 years break from simracing until rFactor 2 came out... and I was mesmerized again!!! [IMG]

Do you have any real life motorsports experience
Not much. Have done go-karts and once with real kart. Back when we were kids and had snowmobiles we were driving like maniacs (lucky to be alive TBH) but other than that not much real-life experience. Had motorcycle somewhere in early 2000 but decided to sell it before lost my life with the damn thing.

Please List all Racing Sims you enjoy and/or have Experience with (examples include GPL, rFactor, iRacing, RBR, GTR2, etc)
Oh no, terrible question. Well basically every single sim since the day one but had a break from simracing from something like 2002-2013. Sure tried some sims in-between like rFactor, GTR and netKar Pro but didn't do any serious racing. Oh and Richard Burns Rally was (and still is) great! Cheers to Richard, wherever he might be.

I'm looking for clean, hard and fair racing. Also lots of participants so we would have fun every single time even when don't have enough time to practice to be able to compete with faster guys.

Thanks for reading and hopefully see you on track!
