GTL Racing Club This Week: Adelaide To Anderstorp

This week in the GT Legends racing club we start with a league race. On Tuesday the guys go down under to South Australia to race on the 3.78km Adelaide street circuit from 1988 which differs from the present day layout with the addition of a couple of more interesting non-90° bends and slightly extends the back straight over the shorter layout's version. As every driver has his own livery this should be a bright and colourful event over the 100km. After a mid week drama, series leader Ross McGregor is still to declare himself fit for racing after breaking his hand, which left him driving one handed handed in our Riverside club event. Although, it didn't seem to slow him down much and he romped away for a win in the second race. This may give the other drivers a chance to claw back some of the 37 point lead which he has managed to obtain through his masterful driving over the series so far in his Nissan Skyline GT-R.

The Club event this week keeps our Scandinavian theme running from 2 weeks previous, with a trip to Anderstorp and a drive round the North and South circuits in the Lotus Cortina. The 23 laps will need your concentration with some nice long sweeping bends and banked turns. The South circuit has a couple of nasty barriers to contend with so don't run on, or you car will suffer. Overall a fun week should be had for all, and the default track and car will hopefully allow any newcomers with it release on steam of this classic retro racer a chance to get up and running in what is probably one of the best sims out there..

Wow that screenshot is amazing! Look at the detail in the model, livery - everything! It looks so realistic! Was this done for the release of the Steam version? If they can do this in a game that's 7 years old, how come more recent games can't get it right!
 It's a screenshot of the best available racing simulator ever, it's called Real Life 1.0.
Reality a lot less exiting than all those ultra saturated, over blooming, too shiny DX11 screenies we get to see lately.
