GTL "New Lobby" Fix - The definitive RD guide.

As requested in another thread, here's a simplified and collated version of the "new lobby" fix, which is what we'll be trying to use going forward.

The new lobby requires a new file and a small registration process.

1. Download the file and drop it into your GTL installation folder - download
2. Open GTL
3. Go to Multiplayer -> Internet
4. Click on the "Register" button

5. Enter your details - please note that this does NOT have to be your previous user/password combination. It will not affect your name online, as that is taken from the profile name.

6. Click the Orange Arrow - NOT the Log-In button - You will get a "Registration accepted" message

7. You'll be taken back to the Log-In screen, click the Orange arrow

8. At the new lobby, select RD game as normal.

When you go into Multiplayer, click Internet, and on the next screen (bottom left) there is a button called "Register".
Click this, then you have to enter the on-line code here.

The FFB works also great for my DFGT so it works for every Logitech wheel i think. :smile:

anyone know a good place to order GTL? appreantly the place where ive already ordered it, and was supposed to get it last week from..... havent got anymore and are unlikely to get more according to thier latest mail.

might be a slightly different quiestion, ive found a site where they got GTL and i should have it within 5 days, i found a temp. version to foo laround with until then.

I just put in Warren settings, and they works fine. But i have a wierd thing... braking/throttle seems to be linked toghter somehow. 2/3 throttle gives me neutral rpm... any less the car will brake etc.

anyone know whats wrong? i have checked settings and calibration and everything looks fine

Check in the Profiler for Combined Pedals. Make sure the box is unchecked. :smile:

Anders, I had that happen to me when I had my Momo. It was like that by default, but when I re-assigned the controls it went away.

First i got a General Failure message. Thats solved but now i can't connect ot the server.
Lobby fix installed and i can't login and also not Register.
Any idea?

What does your copy of the file say for the lobby fix? - you can enter the ip address in the file rather than the name, in case your DNS is a bit wonky.

It says:

"gtl-lobby.bierbuden.de"
If i use only that i get a "General Failure" message

If i only use the ip adress i also get a "General Failure" message

But if i use them both at the same time. I get a "Can't connect to server" message.

have you tried creating a new in game driver profile?

Try that and see if you can connect OK

That was the reason that started all the problems. My "all cars cheat" was not working with my current profile. So i made i new one to get the "all car cheat" working, that works now. But the MP not.

Hmmm

I'm thinking the best course of action might be a scrub and re-install from the start, mate. Sounds like you've got some corruption in there somewhere.
