I don't know what this means, but I want in on that.

EDIT: Not sure if I will be sticking with the Camaro, or just going back to the P4/5.

I'm in! Will drive the McLaren 650S with Shane van Gisbergen's livery. Should be able to do at least some fairly decent laptimes to not get lapped within 20 minutes after al this week practice on Bathurst. :whistling::roflmao::thumbsup:

Will be my first mp-race with pitstop. Any tips on pitstop strategy or things to be aware of?

Yes please, Mr Kenny. Not sure which car yet.
Last time and first time I was at Bathurst with GT 3 I run out of gas. My first club race, it was quite infuriating and somewhat embarrassing.

If you're ever concerned will running out of fuel, the Camaro has a 135 liter tank. A little bit overkill IMO, but having a 7.9L V8, you need that much fuel. But that just makes the car more awesome.

Practice the pitstop. The whole procedure, including pit lane entry/exit, and the use of pit limiter - you have to use it manually and if you are going too fast in the actual pit lane (start and end both marked by line with two cones), you can get a drive-through penalty or even get DQ'd. Use pit presets for faster navigation. Make sure you have bound a button to Pit menu select function. Request pit stop early to give your team time to prepare for you. Remember you have to have something selected (green) in the pit menu Windows to be able to confirm your pit stop (you can do this in the preset to have the pitstop confirmed automatically). Also remember that when you enter pit lane, you have to confirm the pit stop actions *again*.

And if at all possible (which should be in this race), don't ever take fuel. Adding fuel to the car takes a really long time.

(And when it comes to fuel required, it's best to do your own calculations based on how much fuel you need for one lap and how many laps there will be in the race - the calculation in game is often *really* conservative.)

Also, in I guess (hope I'll make it). I'll probably drive one of the Maccas again, but I'll get back to you on that. Thanks.

How I do this is, since these races are timed, I'll typically run for 15 minutes on a full tank, and then calculate how much I need for the entire distance if I know I won't need to take on fuel.

I use an external dashboard app on my phone that gives me fuel consumption per lap for any car, so it's then really easy to calculate the fuel - I take the length of the race in seconds and divide it by my best laptime in seconds to get an estimated number of laps for the race, then multiply this by the fuel consumption per lap to get a final number in litres. I usually throw in a few litres just to be sure, but rarely need it.

However, unless I'm mistaken, I believe the fuel consumption per lap is one of the new data available on data displays in the game since the last R3E update, I believe, so I think you should be able to do this even without any external tools now. You need to bind a key/button for the "Data Display Flip Page" function and then go through the various data display pages (differs based on the car) either on the actual car dashboard or on the full data display in the HUD (doesn't work with the mini data display).
