sadly, I must back out of this one. And I was hoping for a battle with mr. corvette again here at this track. Sorry, E, take me off the list.

Put me down as a maybe please. I need to learn this track for the Mini race, but am not sure i'm up to the GT class yet (although the Escort V8 race was a blast, so maybe....). I'll do some practicing and see.

Anyone want to recommend a particular car for me to drive, as the rank beginner that I am?! I'm drawn to the Corvette, of course, but would be happy to drive one of the others if it's a better car for a noob.

EDIT: Never mind, I found some posts that suggested the Mosler was the most beginner-friendly, and so I found a setup from Jarrod and tried that. Nice setup! But I'm not sure I'm ready for GT. The best I seem to be able to do is 2:02, and that seems to be pretty slow, and there's not a lot of room for error on those twitchy beasts.

Phil, my best time there in a BMW is mid 1:57. Put a few more laps in and hold your line when someone comes up from behind!

Thanks, Dennis, for the info and encouragement. I'll give it some more practice. I drove it a little yesterday evening and wasn't in danger any longer of leaving the track, but didn't make much progress on faster laps. But I'll give it a go. I'm starting to like the Mosler! And that long back straight is mesmerizing!

Please sign me up. I have driven this track offline with the GTL-Mod Mini Cooper. A GT Sport car will be interesting. I think I will go for the light and nimble Spyker. Probably start off with a Bruno setup.
