There is a great website out there called geoguessr. The premise of the website is that it chooses a random Street View location, and you have to place a point on a map where you think it is. The way I play it, there are 4 different ways to play. 1: No Move. You don't move the screen at all. What you see is all you have to guess from. This is very hard. 2: Rotate. You are allowed to rotate the screen, but you cannot move from the spot you're on. This is a bit easier. 3: Infinite Moving. You can rotate and move as much as you like. Keep going until you find landmarks and roadsigns to help you. 4: Maximum Cheat. This is the way to get the highest scores. Using the Infinite Moving technique, this is the only mode that allows Google searching. You can do as much as you like/need, including Google Maps, but Street View is strictly prohibited. Method of posting. Each round is 5 locations. You get given points for how close you are to the actual location. At the end of the round, post your score, method number and the URL (click URL to share link) so we can verify. EG: 9402, Method 3, http://url.geoguessr.com/6XN7 I'll keep a scoreboard in the next post.
