RampSides (by Naufr4g0 winner of the ToM april 2006) is a tricky track, so it was a really hard race and no-one could make a totally clean race. It was a challenge itself and overtaking the AIs (or avoiding) was really difficult. So, it was a good track/car mix and it should be perfect for Buka (great start but you should be more aggressiv and avoid some mistakes..) unfortunately it wasn't. This second race of the season was closer than the first one but finally it's the GWR 2009 winner who crossed the line first. He is our 13th different winner in 50 races ! And he gave the best answer to the discussions, on the road ! :drive: So, congrats to Alexsara79 for your first ToM victory ! :champa: :clap: He had to keep concentred until the end (even with his good strategy's choice) as the new leader of the standing was not very away... The spanish driver reached his second podium in row and so, the first position.. congrats maclape ! :clap: We could see beautiful fights at every level :fight: and that's always stunning to see how close we are after 17-19 minutes of race.

The race was also somewhere marked by the come back (announced) of the past ToM champions (but I guess jo.sk didn't liked my final return.. nor TuomoH, sorry guys I was finally warm) :hiya: the season will be really interesting. And if you all continue to race will could make a new record of medium attendance or even beat the max attendance record. Thank you folks ! :ghug:

So, it was an historical event as it was the 8th race with the general (the most used car) but mainly as we had the 13th different winner and the 21th different fastlaper... a wonderful comeback for the winner of the last event of the season 6 without the little crash (and the NWP that followed) you (Momo) would have fighted for the podium.
Finally with two new rookies on the road, the ToMers list reach the 112 members ! :ghug:

Well quiet everyone who achieved his strategy as wanted (alexsara79, Rich.K and Luketes choosed well the 4 stops strategy and achieved it) but particularly those who finished with few fuel, congrats to them : maclape, Raska, TuomoH, jo.sk, Momo, Tony, AleksiNir, Hangman, haq, akouk, Vilkku, Gnappo & Ivo :up:

Not Wanted Pit-stop (NWP) :

Crashes happens quiet easily on RampSides... bad luck guys : Momo, JTarJ, SpL, dalbom, Albomino, Monkkari, GRaucho, Ms..., Cico_89, Dadouf1, Piritouf & JoBar


So, we can see that the best strategy was surely the 4 pit-stops, which allowed to be more aggresiv as you have more grip. But of course it wasn't enough and you had to drive very well (quickly and regularly) as alexsara79 :bg: congrats again also to maclape (now you'll have the pressure) :clap: For completing the podium, I just passed TuomoH in the last lap, confirming that the general is my car (6th podium on 8 race). As I said before and as you can see in the pictures the fights were held until the finish line. In the PFcard you can see the fight for the 6th place between Rich.K & Momo (twice a zoomed version and the original sized), then you have the finish between TuomoH & me for the last podium place, the fight for the 9th place between Luketes & AleksiNir, the fight for the 24th place between Monkkari & Pierlerally and finally the fratricid fight between our french twins (Dadouf1 & Piritouf) :force: :clap: Excellent shows ! :bg:

Ok the special congrats goes to alexsara79 of course and to maclape. :clap: Then 8 drivers reached their best results, so congrats to haq, Gnappo, dalbom, Albomino, Takaya, Pierlerally, GRaucho and Mad Mack. :clap: Finally, congrats to Momo for the fastest lap. :clap:

Now, it's time to upload the files... The position picture shows the situation after 2 minutes and 21 seconds, just before the first pit-stop (made by Pierlerally) on the 6th lap. Notice that there are 31 drivers on the picture and that AleksiNir, Hangman, haq and Buka made an excellent start.

If someone wants to see his race merged with others drivers (the winner,..), just ask... I keep the files at least during a week. :flip:

Remember we're back to the weekly rythym... so don't forget to race for the round 3 !

@ Omer : When you login, you must race one and only one attempt and send back right after you finished the race and saved files. Basically, you did it wrong and that's why you're penalized.

Misogami Result

This strange track from Jak_GR is a very original and somewhere crazy creation... Half skijump and half racing place, so a perfect place for driving a sidamob !! :flip: Well, it wasn't for sure the more adapted mix and I understand it couldn't please everyone. What's sure, is that the reigning champion :king: felt it very well and the black rocket, after a relativ slow start, taked off ! Only alexsara79 could follow him and avoid to be lapped... :eyes:
That's says much about jo.sk performance, beware the champion is back and now he has alone the record of victories ! :clap:

The strategies weren't as important as the jumping part and the regularity, but it's interesting to see that we could be performant with every of the four possible strategies. In fact, we found the best drivers using those four differents strategies in the top5 !

It was a spectacular race, what more natural, with jumps of quiet 75 meters with a sidamob !!! :faint: 3 races and 3 differents winners, 9th victory for jo.sk, then alexsara79 and Momo for completing the podium. :bg: Congrats guys, very impressive performances ! :clap:
The championship's leader miss his third podium in a row, but keep the lead with his 4th place. Now, everything can happen.. as Rich (and me) could see, some little mistakes and you're out of the top10, now it'll be harder for us to comeback.. but that can also be a supplement of motivation. The level is really high ! :rocks:

It was a less technical and hard race than RampSides, but a test of concentration and of precision. Jo.sk as an excellent downhill specialist knows how to jump and of course how to take precise trajectory. He makes us all feel rusty or slow but as Vilkku said, he is just amazing when he get his fingers in the right place (& moment) ! So, congrats to jo.sk and of course the others podiumers alexsara79 & Momo, the best african driver ever in ToM also made his second fastest lap in a row ! :clap:

The rookies championship is also interesting and haq was again the best of them.. but the two new faces weren't away and could give him troubles for the next races. The special congrats goes to them, as they reached their best performance : LongBow, Cristiano Bohessef, GRaucho & Mizzamar ! That's was logical in the case of LongBow and Mizzamar (very first race) but they will improve. :up:

Unfortunately on a such small track, the positions pictures had to be made very early..as Mad Mack, Ms... and GRaucho should have worked a little bit more their start IMO. Then it's a little bit messy, particularly between jo.sk, AleksiNir, TuomoH, Alx.it and Hangman. Then there is also a bunch of drivers, with Vilkku and Gnappo quiet at the same place.. BTW everyone is at his real position this time. It's interesting to see the movement of positions from there and the final standing.
The PFcard show the finish between Alx.it & Luketes for the 5th place. You can also see the next closest finish between Tony & Vilkku for the 9th place.

Ok, that's all for this round... thank you and keep racing !

Oh, remember to vote for the ToM november 2009 election, so you can partially choose the tracks who could be used in the next seasons !
