G27 Problem

My problem is that rFactor 2 seems to have locked my wheel at around 270 degrees. No matter what I do in the settings or the Logitech Profiler I can't seem to fix it. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution?

I had it once with my G25 and that it also didn't go back to normal setting right away, but can't remember excactly what I did to solve it. I still have it now and than, but getting the USB out of my computer and hooking it up normally works for me.

what I do know is that the logitech profiler I never use, I think I have it at basic settings. If not I probably have turned up the amount of degrees to 900. I will check once I got my steering wheel hooked-up. I never start it up when I start RF2.

Normally just re-plugging my G25 is sufficient when it happends to me know like I said. Perhaps re-loading the G25 controls in game to basic settings wil help? It helped me once or twice before, only thing than is adjusting the buttons like you have them now.

It sounds like it must be set to 270 degrees in the game's controller settings.

Thanks Ian, unplugging the USB the re-plugging it in worked. It makes the game so much more enjoyable!

only thing than is adjusting the buttons like you have them now.

Once you setup your buttons just save it.
I got 2 controller configurations ie "g25_horn_lights.ini" and "G25_DRS_KERS.ini"

I'm still having it Justin, Ian's advice worked the first few times but after that it just went back to being locked at 250 degrees.

It was always OK but haven't been on rf2 for a few months and now the steering is hyper sensitive and pretty much undriveable. I'm all up to date with latest build. I'm only getting 180 deg

Make sure you tick the "allow the game to change settings" box, in the profiler.

Just tried to Run profiler to make sure everything was default and I'm getting an error saying no game controllers detected. Power is on. Have tried a reboot. Have tried unplugging USB and plugging in again. G27 working fine but profiler not recognising is now? all very strange!?!?

That is strange indeed... Is it registering it in the windows device manager? If you still have the disc, then re-install the device.

Yep, showing up in device manager fine. I've recently updated to windows 8 but can't find anything on Logitech site about and updates for windows 8?

*EDIT* just found windows 8 install (fingers crossed)

This is how ive set my logitech wheel up i have a specific profile for all my sims
it was done for the GTL guys as a few were having issues and this did seem to sort out the problems but it works the same for all the sims iv'e even done it with pictures, might be something in there that's been missed.

Uninstalled and downloaded the win8 profiler and now I'm making progress thanks for the tips and advice all
