In the build up to the debut cross platform Windows 10 and Xbox One release of Forza Horizon 3, the first 150 cars due to hit the game have been revealed. Including a punchy selection of wildly differing machines, Forza Horizon 3 looks to have all the bases covered for fans of the four wheel variety.

Something of a middling release between the traditional Forza Motorsport games, Horizon 3 offers up an altogether different driving and gaming experience for players to discover. Set in scenic Australian locations, Horizon 3 lets gamers experience a sizable number of vehicles from thoroughbred race cars to standard production offerings from some of the best known manufacturers in the world. With over 350 cars, trucks and buggies to sample upon release in an open world environment based in Australia, Horizon 3 promises to capture "the spectacular natural beauty, the tremendous diversity, and the environmental variety that makes the country one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world". Playground Games have succeeded in creating a map for Forza Horizon 3 that is over twice the size of the game's predecessor, Forza Horizon 2.

Understandably the team behind Horizon 3 are playing their cards close to their chest with regards to the full compliment of vehicles due to arrive on release day of the game, however below you can review the first 150 announced vehicles due to arrive on Windows 10 and Xbox One this September 27th.

    What we know so far:

Forza Horizon 3 has already confirmed a total of 350 cars for release day and features the largest open world map in the series history, due to be based in the scenic surroundings of Australia. Featuring sandy beaches, rainforests and urban city environments the new Horizon release from Playground Games should be one of the most visually impressive releases of 2016. As with previous Horizon titles, Forza Horizon 3 sees the return of the Forza Festival with an added new dimension that puts players in control of all elements of the festival, with a mission to win over fans and become the most popular festival in the world. Players will be responsible for selecting locations to expand right the way down to picking music to play at the events, giving gamers the power to tailor every experience in the game to their own personal tastes.

Horizon Blueprint makes its debut in the latest instalment of the series, allowing gamers to create their own bespoke events and share with friends online, or enjoy as part of the massive offline experience. Players can tailor events by such variables as weather, class, location and route alongside other fine details that help create their own unique experience within the Forza Horizon 3 environment.

Judging by the preview images and news already known, Forza Horizon 3 promises to be the largest, most diverse and visually impressive open world adventure released to date from the series.

Forza Horizon 3 is coming to Windows 10 for the first time alongside Xbox One on September 27th via the Windows Store, or Xbox Marketplace while hard copies of the game can be purchased through selected retailers.

RaceDepartment have several sub forums dedicated to the Forza Motorsport series of games. You can find out more information on the latest Forza Horizon title and discuss the game with other fans of the series.

Looking forward to Forza Horizon 3? What cars are you looking forward to trying? PC player? Will the new game tempt you to purchase it for Windows PC? Let us know in the comments section below!

Considering there is some proper race cars in there like the SUPER GT Nissan and the 2016 Ford GT Le Mans car i hope there is a proper track to thrash them round instead of driving in the streets or down some country lanes...

Ford/Chip Ganassi Racing Team is never going to live that one down no matter how hard they try. At least the car looks nice. :p

I'm excited for FH3. I played some FH2 on an Xbox One and it was a lot of fun. It has great street racing elements while not being too arcade. A fun racing game to unwind.

350 cars, and all of them are different. I'd say "Take note PD", but they won't listen. :whistling:

Aussie cars making a proper debut finally.
Damn I want that Torana so much

  8. I wonder if they will have triple screen support for the Windows 10 version. That would really make it a hit.

  9. Well.... This is looking quite promising for mindless fun and cruising around. Gimme NA Miata pls.

Did the previous games have H-Pattern and Clutch support ?

  10. Sadly the physics are not at same level of graphics, atleast the previus versions.
    +1 has few Lancia´s
-1 does not have any Porsche
Wheel support is the big question here i guess.

  11. If this game doesn't include AC/DC or Airbourne as part of the soundtrack then I'll be sourly disappointed.

Nevertheless, I can't wait for the release as I've always wanted a game like this. A big open-world to do some insane off-roading seen in games like 1nsane and MotorStorm (judging by the trailer so far). I really have to get an Xbox One soon.

  12. No V8 Interceptor..?

  13. Most want : Info re Wheel Support .... DIrect Drive wheels ? AccuForce ? plus full support for separate Pedals and Gear Shifters such as Fanatec Clubsport Shifter and Thrustmaster.

  14. I went to try the Forza Apex and that one was a complete trainwreck, so I am not convinced that Horizon would be as good as we deserve.

  15. I don't think I have the same expectations on this as I would of a 'real' racing game. But where I expect wheel support, VR support etc from a 'real' racing game, this type of thing takes me back to the old PGR2 days so maybe playing on an Xbox controller and a monitor will suit it just fine.

    Horses for courses.
