New to racing or are you an experienced simmer? It doesn't really matter as the Formula Ford Formula Rookie is easy to drive and makes up for excellent close combat racing. No wings needed as this car will fly by itself.

@Hedsup Welcome to RD! You can sign-up by just posting in the event thread, just like you already did :)
Make sure to also add your real name in the corresponding field on your profile page (it can only be seen by other members and not by guests or Google)

    Please sign me up.

Can also ask a question. Is there any chance we can revert to the old racedepartment race club rules? Real name in both TS and the game? It looks silly and is silly in my opinion with loads of strange names on the roster. And many on TS also dont change it to their real name. Perhaps there is a reason why RD does not enforce those rules anymore?
Oh and would it be possible if those on TS could be asked to use "push to talk". It absolutely gets on my nerves to hear all sorts of grunts, coughs, noises etc during a race.
    Mr Grumpy. ;)

@Emerson Fattibaldi Real names on TS are mandatory. My TS is usually minimized so I don't see which names people are using, but I'll keep an eye on it for the next events.

Regarding real names in-game: Not possible atm because drivers have to change their Steam profile name for that. But we'll probably require that at least the Steam name matches the forum nickname or includes the real first name.

There is also a feature request on the official forum to allow custom in-game names for multiplayer, so if you can get more people to support it, we might get this feature

  12. My you are inconsiderate. Most people are quite happy to use push to talk. With voice activated, we get to hear things that we would rather not hear thank you. In some of the other race clubs it was mandatory to use push to talk.
But if like you say I can mute an individual (which I didn't know I could do) then I will mute you. I will enjoy my racing better then. Nothing worse than hearing coughing, farting, dogs, sneezing, moaning, huffing crying and excuses during a race. :p;)

    Mr Grumpy.

anyway @Beikirch you up for it.
