FM4 FM Le Mans Series S1

Hey guys. thought id just throw this out there, is anybody intrested in doing a lemans style series. it would be a dual class championship with GT's and LMP1's starting at sebring and ending with an endurance event at Lemans ) Races would take place on a sunday either in the afternoon or Evening, starting in april and will rotate once a month . as with the dtm league there will be a vetting event. car classes will have a nice mix of fast and slower guys in. To make this an intresting series, upgrades would be allowed to R1 998 For LMP1s and R2 875 for GT's

races are to be the last sunday of every month dates below, the vetting event will be the w/c 16th april and will be run midweek to to f1 2011 commitments

Planned Tracks and dates

• April 29th - Round 1 - Sebring. USA 90 mins
• May 27th - Round 2 - Circuit de Catalunya. Spain 2 hours
• June 24th - Round 3 - Mugello. Italy 2 hours
• July 29th - Round 4 - Silverstone. Great Britan 90 mins
• August 26th - Round 5 - Suzuka Circuit. Japan 90 mins
• Septmember 30th - Round 6 - Nurburgring Nordschlife. Germany 2 hours
• October 28th - Round 7- Race Department Lemans Grand Prix. France 2hrs 30 mins

All assists are banned execpt line and gearing
User Created Designs and Setups Allowed.
Teams May be made but ill confirm this. Teams will be allowed one major sponsor (which appears on both cars) but designs may be individual

Guys, any chance we can have the choice between manual and automatic, because i was doing some testing earlier and i was so slow, i just can't get to grips with the manual system, i know that if i stick to manual, i'm going to be last nearly every race...

Round - 1 Sebring

Race Report - started on GT2 pole (random grid) had a good start and kept tom in my sights, unfortunatly i lost the rear end due to cold tyres. got the car setteled and setteled in for the long haul, took my mandatory pit stop at lap 5 then stoped 7 laps later for pins and needles in my hand, that basically ended my chalenge for the class win. i then just setteled down and went for pure laps

Yes Brad, we're in BST- but the rest of the world has no clue what British Summer Time is. GMT never changes as it's a global standard and we spend half of the year synced up to GMT and half of it an hour ahead of GMT. This is why it's important to be careful in quoting GMT times to people outside the UK as they will always refer to it as proper GMT and not automatically think "oh, ok, he means in Britian and they aren't strictly on GMT at the moment so I'll automatically adjust for that."

Race had a good start and kept Karl in sight for much longer than i thought i would!! Just needs more entries tbh!! Gutted for steve think we would have had a nice battle!!

Round - 1 Sebring
Qualifying Report/Starting Position - Random Grid, started last.
Race Report - I had a quiet but steady race. Pace was alright and was trying to concentrate on not making mistakes and was largely successful with only one off going a tad wide on exit of turn 1 after 2/3rds distance.
Round Summary - Feeling quite good about this series and expecting a challenge when the rest of the GT2 class show up. For now I'm just content to notch up some good points for the team yesterday.​

Hey Guys,

Throughly enjoyed my first race even though I was something of a back-marker/ moving chicane. looking to improve as I improve tuning skills and familiarity with the car. My main goal was to try and stay out of the faster more experienced guys way.

I just wanted to say that if allowed I will definitely plan on participating in every race this season, except this next one coming up at the Circuit de Catalunya. My girlfriend has made travel plans for me that weekend that I cannot cancel (many of you may well know what kind of wrath could be incurred for something like that).

also, one other question: Does the VOIP work for you guys? I heard Andrew speaking once, but the rest of the time I never could tell if anyone was talking, and felt that maybe I was missing some key info. If you guys can all hear each other maybe I can't because I'm on the other side of the Atlantic.

Anyway, if anyone ever wants to run laps and part with some tuning knowledge I'm always down if I'm online!

Yeah Graeme, first off- welcome to the fold- but yes your headset/mic was not working properly and you should have a look in to this. What setup are you using controller/headset wise? Although no-where near as bad as you, I regularly have difficulties with my standard Xbox headset plugged in to my CSR wheel and need to replace it with a wireless headset when I get a chance.
