after a threatened lawsuit by Ford, who have produced a pickup called T150 since 1975, Ferrari have changed the name of this year's car to "Ferrari 150th Italia".

No comment.

Well Ford holds the patent name to the 150 model so it was coming.
If you own a patent it is important to defend it or it will be free for all to take that name.

Yeah but the Ferrari F150 was never going to be a commercially available product, so the trademark doesn't count for anything

Oh well, that's how copyright works... Ford and Ferrari clash once again, but this time it's over a legal dispute. :tongue:

Silvester Stallone had better start gettin' that checkbook out...LOL. My real and legal birth name is 'Rocky'. It pre-dates the movie. I was born in the sixties. Then again...my parents had better get their checkbook out and pay Rocky Marciano the boxer. Wait! He'd better pay my grandfather, who was also Rocky. These lawsuits are damn stupid. Who the hell is going to confuse a sleek Ferrari F150 F1 car for a Ford F150 pickup truck? This just appears to be Ford's way of 'hogging' the spotlight. It may cause Italians (who are extremely passionate about Ferrari) to boycott Ford car purchases in the future.... so NOT a smart move on Ford's part.

Ford have every right to threaten to sue Ferrari over the name. I'm sure if I created some wooden cars and called it an Enzo that Ferrari would threaten to sue me too.
