Thanks.

Solution
In order to correctly set up your wheel configuration, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the actionmap folder within your F1 2013 install directory
  2. Look for the name of the wheel which will be something like Fanatec CSR Wheel.xml. and open the file
  3. Scroll down until you see the lines referencing replay fast forward and rewind lines such as:
    <Action actionName="Replay Rewind">
    <Axis axisName="win_con_di_axisRy" deviceName="0eb70197" baseCalibration="uniDirectionalNegative" deadZone="0.0" saturation="1.0" />
    </Action>
  4. You'll need to change the axisName"" section to match the correct axis for your accelerator and brake pedal. These will be mapped in this same file under the Accelerate and Brake sections of this file. You will need the Accelerator axis name to be rewind and the Brake axis name to be fast forward, (or whatever your preference, but they need to be different. For example you cant have the same axis name for fast forward and rewind).
  5. Once updated, save and close the file and this should now work in-game
Credit due to @Glen Orpheus
for finding the solution! :thumbsup:

I agree with Glenn's post as I detailed this same fix for the Fanatec wheel last year and Codies never bothered to actually fix it themselves and now implement the exact same bug in the actionmap file this year.

I emailed the devs myself last year and suggested they fix the relevant files but they never even bothered to reply let alone thank me for fixing it for them.

Begs the question of what do the beta game testers actually do ?

Firmware is a huge part of all of this, as I have been through this nightmare. So, without that info, these posts are not very useful, but I do appreciate the effort. I'm running 706, for various reasons, and if anyone else is, I'd be happy to trade, swap tales, etc.

Can u please elaborate on why use not the latest firmware?
I own a regular CSR and had upgraded to the latest firmware version on day 1.
SInce then i've been trying whenever i could to find a reason to down-upgrade ,but noone had given me reason enough to do so, however i'd love to hear your thought ,perhaps more experienced thoughts than i've heard before.

If you are not able to be convinced, or very hard to convince, then I doubt I could spend enough time to possibly do it. I'm glad you are happy with what you have.

I'm just saying that, if you search the web, you will find plenty of stories like mine regarding 706. Regardless of whether it's better, I think we all can agree that whether you use it or not is very important to the weight I would prefer to give to any person's set-up advice, no?

Is 706 better than 756?why?
706? 681 u mean. Never saw a 706 ^^. I use 756 because i am to lazy to test 681.
