Fanatec CSR Pedals - Is there meant to be deadzone?

Hi all. I was fiddling around with the nuts at the back of my pedals to see about different levels of spring stiffness. Suddenly, the rod that goes from the pot assembly to the pedal itself fell out so I had to put the rod back in and tighten the nuts holding it in. I know that the rod itself screws into the pedal itself then the first nut to secure the rod and second nut to adjust spring stiffness. Anyway, I put it all back together but I can't seem to remember if there was any deadzone in the pedals or not so would anyone know if there is meant to be any deadzone in the CSR pedals or should I take the pedals apart again and try and sort it out? Thanks.
