  18. Good that i did put maybe.. Totally lost track of time, lost in the 3D world..

  19. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..... This was my first race back after a 6 month layoff due to a badly broken foot I suffered this summer. I was pretty excited to get back on the grid.

Things started out pretty well. Despite struggling during practice, I started to get comfortable during Qual and put a nice lap in to Qual 4th. Gained a place at the start and ran comfortably in 3rd for 1/2 the race, then started to fade and lost it on the last corner LOL giving up a couple of places and finishing 6th. But I did finish LOL

The second race was not so rosy and my worst fears occurred...that I would negatively impact someone's race due to my rustiness. Blew the start and faded from 3rd to 7th and then had all kinds of problems culminating in punting Dennis and ending his race. I am SO SO sorry. I felt fine in the open, but was clearly not so good in traffic. Sorry that you had to be in the path of my recovery.

Regardless, it was great to get back on the grid and race the y'all.

The day is much better now that I have a good beer in hand.

Practice with Rupe earlier was fun and ended up with a nice handling car.
Not consistent in lap times, a car I had to pay atttention to all the time.

R1: Sometime right after the start of the race my wife got the dogs barking and it drew my attention, one mistake, brooding on it, two mistakes and then I was pushing too hard and just not having fun, retired.

R2: I got a small tap and only minor damage but decided to park it. Sorry guys. Bob, no worries, any other day I would have just motored down the road.
