Yup, it's out today on Steam ........

Patch #5 News

Today sees patch #5 available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2012.

This update addresses the following issues:

  • Reduced the likelihood of the player getting a penalty when involved in a collision with an AI car.
  • Further reduced the chance of rain for all tracks and greatly reduced it for Sakhir (Bahrain).
  • Fixed Catalunya so that it’s no longer possible to cut corners to gain an advantage. The PC Catalunya Time Trial Leaderboard will be reset after the patch goes live, this will either be done Friday evening or Monday morning (UK time).
  • Fixed an issue where the engine could be damaged or destroyed when using a flashback.
  • Reverted the changes to the force feedback from patch 4. While this improved some wheels, it was to the detriment of others.
  • Added an option to delete profiles.
The fixes listed above and those specific to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are also being tested and verified on those platforms. As these versions require additional submission and authorisation from both Microsoft and Sony the release date for these will follow a little later than the PC version.

hundred of invisble walls in monaco, abu dhabi, singapore...

big problems with the penalty system

problems with weather effects and driveability. i drove a 25% monaco race 10 mins ago. in lap 12 it starts to rain. the rain was heavy. the track surface was bone dry. very realistic

and in the last lap 20/20 the rain was very heavy but it was possible to drive with yellow soft tyres.........i couldnt believe that

and why it is impossible to drive with inter oder heavy wets in dry or light wet track? its more difficult than driving with a puncture or something. thats totally unrealistic

and Codemasters fixes AI problems..... OMG

I hope they fix the weather system correct this time.
I'm at Q3 at hungaroring and the AI is out on options but if I fit options and go ou it's like driving on ice.
meanwhile the AI is settings times of 1:30 and I'm strugling to get below 1:50

I wanted to post this on the cm forum but I can't register

Whoops! I clicked "Verify integrity of game cache" and it's deleted every file that was modded. lol, now i have no database, and have to reinstall the game. fml.

Sorry Tophercheese. The game here is not modded. Not planning on doing that until all patches are done, so my game seems to be running fine afterwards. Not sure what it's updating everytime I click on Verify integrity of game cache, but it's not patch 5.

Oh yes, we have buy a BETA-Version of the game, how every year. Here in Germany i have payed 40,- € and must wait from one patch to patch, to can play.
That is'nt normal !!!:poop:

I paid for the game and just annoys me
5 UPDATES in 2 - 3 weeks..........20 in a year, and 2013 i can normal play F1 2012.
And in 2013 these game cost 15,-€... THANK YOU CM !!!!

Sorry for that, now i feel me better !:)

Oh yeah, poor you: the devs actually care about the game you're playing and work hard to update it and fix the bugs. HOW CAN LIFE BE SO CRUEL !!?
Developing software as complex as a modern multiplatform game takes quite a lot of time, but they had just about a year to finish it. If they had more time, you'd still be waiting for the game without bugs, so it boils down to choosing between releasing the game (so the distributor is happy and the employees get paid) and patching it up later, or making EVERYONE wait longer for THE PERFECT GAME (which, as we all know*, never really works out).

* DNF? :rolleyes:

Sure, but they do the same mistakes as last year and the year befor. And every year they say " this year we have...and make this better and this.." BLA BLA BLA. The same thing every year, and the same BUGS and MISTAKE.
Our Modders make correktions faster then one year. (somtimes faster then one week !) Why not ask CM for advice ?
Sorry, but your statement is not entirely true. Read, see and learn ! I am not the one and only who think so.
