Here is a new addition to RaceDepartment. Once a week we will be bringing you the hottest stuff going down for mods, race videos, setups and much more what is happening right here at your number one community for Codemasters F1 2011 The Game. News Earlier this week Helios (Codemasters community manager) revealed they have infact worked on patch 1 and are waiting for Microsoft to verify the patch for it to be released on the PC and Xbox 360, until then sit tight! Patch 2 is already underway in testing phases with the help of the F1 2011 community giving valuable feedback, Codemasters are testing out some issues for all platforms , my guess is, it may be related to graphics and a FPS drop in the game. That's the news for this week, let's get down with some Racing Events coming this week Events The Playstation 3 guys as we like to call them for short, will be hitting Japan/Suzuka this week on Wednesdays with a 50% Distance race, They are catering for all skill levels allowing most of the assists allowed, the braking assist is banned. Go check out the details PC welcome any new blood to their ranks in organized races they put on, a big hearted bunch who love the smell of rubber burning on the track, but for the right reasons ofcourse! Overtaking and using some bizzare tactics are just a few of things you will see in the races, you are bound to have your heart pumping like mad going down the straight with cars either side of you, are you brave enough to brake the latest and take the corner, it may well pay of for you to gain a position or 2 or it could simply end up very bad with you skidding off. These guys will be heading to Brazil on Wednesday 5th October to the famous track Interlagos, this event is one not to miss, every time these boys race on this track there is fierce rivalry against eachother (in a fun way ofcourse). We know it's unforgiving when you make a mistake here, it can cost you dearly. The event is a 50% race with every single assist being allowed, it's for everyone to join in the fun if your a F1 fan. On the Xbox 360 we have an ambitious young bunch of drivers are on the who keep their heads down and focused when it comes to racing on the biggest platform out there, action packed with members from their official Xbox 360 League, you can gurantee these races will be full of exciting overtakes and strategy's. This week they head to Spain well known as Circuit de Catalunya. This track is known for being hard and can catch the most experience driver off guard. Are you up for the challenge?
