SCS Software have shown off previews from the upcoming update for European Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator - adding big loads to the fun trucking games. With much having happened over at SCS HQ in recent years, what with winning not one but two Steam awards and having a successful launch of the American variant of their truck driving franchise plus subsequent massive map scale enhancements, you would be forgiven for thinking SCS have decided to take the foot of the gas and rest on their laurels for a little while... well you would be very much mistaken! Over the past 12 months or so the team over in the Czech Republic have remained hard at work on both simulation titles, particularly paying close attention in recent months to the drivetrain and trailer physics within the games. With update day for both titles in the works for the coming weeks, SCS have been showing off some previews of the upcoming 'Heavy Loads' content due to be added to the game. Attached to this article are a could of preview images of the new content, and whilst we await a full change log note from the developers I'll leave you with this little preview note below. Happy big big biiiiig rigging everyone! "We have been spending considerable time during the recent year fine-tuning truck & trailer physics and improving power train simulation. We feel more and more confident now that we'll be soon ready to share the results of this development with you. We are preparing new content and gameplay features for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. As a first, we plan to bring you a pack of new Heavy Cargo sitting on all-new trailers for ETS2. The driving experience with 50+ tons in tow is very different, so much in fact that it may tempt us to pack in new powerful chassis configurations for some of the trucks!" European Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are available to purchase on the Steam platform right now. Like big riggin'? Check out the European Truck Simulator 2 sub forum here at RaceDepartment to discuss the game with your fellow truck driving fans. If European roads aren't your thing, you could always pop on over to the American Truck Sim sub forum and get your fill of driving in the good old U S of A! Looking forward to some heavy load action in ATS and ETS2? Like the way the game(s) are progressing of late? Let us know in the comments section below!
