maybe, for sure, maybe, for sure
  3. Oh, I have to do this!

And I'd like to say that, as a noob, I really appreciate this practice of running several races with different cars at the same tracks. I'm still trying to learn these tracks, and this is a great help and allows me to race a bit more often.

You realize that thisi s a slightly different track than we'll be on tomorrow night?
  5. Ill more than likely be there.
  6. Yeah, Dennis. The long track for the GT, and the newer, shorter one for the V8s and the Minis, right? But some of the track is the same. :-} I should be good on those parts!
  7. its the LONG track tonight and tomorrow. '55-'70 The shorter version on Wednesday.......'74-94

    Server is up!
  8. Phil this helps everyone to race more during the week of an ATCC event. Always a plan...........

if im still awake ill race - like the track and the escorts a lot
  11. Okay, I've got it straight now, but not sure I can make it tonight. I was confused about the date. But I jumped on and practiced a bit. Dennis worked up a quick setup and shared it with me and I was able to do the same lap time as he did with it. Thanks Dennis.

But I do have company coming tonight (my sister) so not sure I can break away. Will try to though. It was fun in practice!! Love those Escorts!

I was very happy with the car I posted. The only thing I changed before the race was brake pressure and maybe bias a little, if I remember right and that got me more than a second faster. For a "beastie" it was a jolly good car!

R1: I was expecting a race with Marcelo as our times were about the same. I was hoping to have a race without any barrier contact but that changed in the tight left when, I missed my brake point, locked the braked, missed the line and spun around inflicting suspension and aero damage. In the replay I can see Tylers car actually going thru my car as his LF passed my LR!!! Well I got that out of the way but I was only able to enjoy a drive around the track.

R2: The "beasties" show their power over drivers at the start and I'm sandwiched between several. No problem, it's good to get the bad stuff over with at the start! No more Armco I say as enter the back straight, drifting out too far right into the concrete wall! Dummy! Amazingly not much damage so onward. Rhys has a mishap but gets right past me again, I'm down a bit on speed it seems. Eric has a mishap about mid race and shadows me for a long time before closing and making a pass just before the last lap. I think he would have caught me sooner but he lept playing ag with the armco, no doubt cussing out the car with each tap!

Both were good driving/racing sessions. Let's hope Marcelo gets another controller up or gets used to running the pit menu with the keyboard. Too bad you didn't make it back to the grid Phil.

    Good racing guys!
  15. Dennis, I have a DFGT... lol... never drove that car before.. its like a little beast.. I was having trouble trying to stay on the track, lol....

Then I had a problem in the 1rst race, don't know what happened.. I got stuck in the pits for more than 4 minutes.. lag I guess.

In the 2nd race, right on the start, before the green light someone touched my car.. and I hit the wall.. got suspension problem, punctured tire and lost rear wing.. so I went to the pits.. and that was the end for me..

Marcelo, the dfgt is perfect of pitting. I use the U/D button on the left to move thru the menu, the red ring to make changes and the cernter button to confirm.

Better luck in tonights race then!
  17. Got it! I'll set all the buttons tonight.. Do you have a dfgt also? Got mine last week... still getting used to it, its really cool.

Hope I can stay on the track tonight, lol.
  18. Note to self:

Call Gunthar Rowe and request an update for this car model.................I need more front end durability!!!!!

While the car is fun to drive at times, it is just a little too sensitive to damage. If you tap anything at all its broken. It spits the front splitter out like a Mike Tyson opponent spits teeth by round 2......

I had pace to keep up with Raggie, Rhys and Tyler but damage in both races just crippled me...

The opening laps were fun as you try and dodge spinniing cars and looming destructive barriers etc on cold tires.

Hit Reggie pretty solidly in R2 ( sorry Reggie my bad all the way) I screamed in TS "lookout Reg!" and bam I wrinkle up his quarter panel.

Dodged Rhys by the smallest of hairs exiting the hairpin as he does thew typical power on loop slide...

Would I race 'em again? yes! Soon? prolly not. tired of ripping stuff off the front every race. especially since there is a really nice Ferrari F430 mod just collecting dust.......

Grats to my Synaptic teammate tyler on the 2 x win again! Our best race times were within .10! insane how tight we race this game now...

Thanks to all who joined and raced!

we have MINI's here at the "slower shorter" version Tommorow and it will be a TON OF FUN so sign up and help generate interest!!!
