Error caused by missing image

Hi there all,

Have had a bit of a strange issue and I know exactly what's caused it - I just need a hand correcting it :)

Basically, I used an image from my iPhone that was plugged in to the PC at the time. I used it, and saved the track I was using with it. I then closed BTB, and removed my phone.

I later re-opened BTB only for it to say 'Access to the path 'img_88.jpg' is denied'.

I tried re-connecting my phone to the PC but the error continued. The error I receive when I try to continue is:

"Expansion Packs

Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

The details are as follows:

"See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box."

I'm running BTB Pro, and have since tried uninstalling/reinstalling but to no avail.

I'm running Windows 7.

Thank you very much in advance,
Dan

When you add a new texture to your track (via Edit materials or Background image), the file gets copied to your project's folder, so try opening that folder and seeing if the file is there, and if it can be opened your graphics program.

If you can open the file, I'm not sure why BTB would have trouble with it, but there is a way to go back to an earlier version of your venue:
http://www.racedepartment.com/bobs-...rence-not-set-instance-object.html#post375566

And a more reliable way to backup a project (useful in future):

Fixed it - Thank you so much. I found the file it was looking for, and looked on the Security and the permissions. Turned out that it was Read Only. This possibly had something to do with it. I also tweaked a few bits in the Permissions section as mentioned above. Cheers! Selby
