Editing the default load out of a car

Is it possible to edit the initial or default setup of a car (mod cars)?

Do you need to change it everytime you load the car on to track?

I am aware of saving setups and loading them but that is not what I am after.

For example, what tires the car initially start up with, front and rear downforce levels, TC and ABS levels, gear ratios.

The only way to do that would be to edit the physics files of the car (as that's how the "default setup" is defined), which would lead to online mismatches.

Thanks for the reply. Totally understand what you're saying. Should have been more clear about what I am modifying. It was regarding the old mod cars that had Tyre Model 7. Since they use .ACD data files instead of a "data" folder, it needed to be extracted into the current structure before being able to tinker with it.

Anyway, I have figured out how to do it, time to update some old cars to match the current version of the game. So many great car mods that simply haven't been updated to accomodate the new version of AC. Gonna have to do it myself

(Just for the record, will definitely not be touching any Kunos assets, hell no, genuine cars are mint!)

I believe Content Manager can automatically update old mod cars to new standards, it's just a couple clicks (though I'm not sure on the specifics).
