My question is pretty simply stated in the title: Does Tyre Wear Change Based on Race Distance?

in 100% race distance they wear as normal, in 20% they wear at 5x the speed so its all relative I guess

When you say "I guess" are you doubting the 5x rule at 20% or that it makes sense to degrade the tyres as such?

If you do a 3 lap race and drive hard, your options will be going off by the 2nd lap. I would say yes.

The "I guess" was concerning the relative part. as Derinahon has pointed out although very hard to judge on comparing 100% to 3 laps. By what experience I do have though as I do 100% for my career and other distances online with friends tyres tend to last the same % way through the race.
