DIY hydraulic pedals (t500rs)

Discussion in 'Sim Racing Hardware' started by gorzasty, Dec 4, 2013.

  1. Hello guys

I'm trying to mod my t500rs pedals with hydraulic parts. At the moment I'm buying all the necessary equipment: master and slave cylinders, springs, dumpers, USB controller etc. but I'm not sure about one thing - a pressure transducer. Derek gives a link to this one: http://www.digikey.com/product-sear...o&lang=en&site=us&keywords=MSP6895-ND&x=0&y=0

The one has 1000psi. I make some searching through the Interent and I've found that pressure in real racing car can be around 2000 psi while very agressive braking. From the other side I cant have my pedal too stiff becouse of my aching knees ;/. So I'd like to be somewhere in the middle with the force needed for max braking.

I'm not sure at the moment how can I be able to change the pressure of the all unit (amount of fluid and air in the cylinders, or springs) and how my controller (http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/12-bit-controllers.html) will calibrate all that stuff - have no experience with this.

All my project will be something similar to this one:
but with t500 pedals. (I have already the same master cylinder)

Can anyone tell me what is the best choice with pressure sensor for me?

    Best Regards!
    Piter
