    Hey guys,

What do I need in order to use my Samsung plasma as a computer monitor for my Dell laptop?

    I'm not very computer-knowledgable :x3:

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have a HDMI Port on your laptop? I use HDMI from my notebook to my tv.

  3. Yep I do the same. One HDMI - HDMI cable or if you don't have a HDMI port on your laptop you could buy DVI to HDMI or VGA to HDMI depends on what port you have but you won't have sound with the last two.

    Thanks guys.

No I only have the standard VGA connection.
Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap VGA-to-HDMI cable? As the ones I've found are quite pricey!

  5. Good luck with finding a cable inexpensively as the HDMI cables are pricey no matter what. You might have a look on Amazon.com or Newegg though, you might just get lucky.

OK so I got a VGA to HDMI cable but apparently you need a converter, not just the cable.
