I cannot change the Difficulty settings as 2 areas are greyed out. I cannot change Difficulty eg to Legend etc and ABS is set to ON and am unable change that either. Can anyone tell me how to overcome this. I uninstalled F1 2011 and then reinstalled but it remains the same. I assume the responsible files are therefore not in the main folder of the game but are housed somewhere else on my PC.

You can't change the game difficulty to Legend and have ABS enabled.

Maybe try altering your assists in your profile via the main menu, rather than trying to change them when setting up a race.
