It's free. ;) and it works with all your sims: rF1, GSCE, rF2, AC, Project cars, RRRE and Iracing.
Note: Some sims will give you more data output as others...

It's web based, so you don"t need a "app" on your Phone, tablet or laptop to view the dashboard. Just a browser.
My rig is my basement and the wifi connection is poor, so you need to check that.

    Installation:
    - install the program.
    - Put the plugins .dll files in the games plugin folders. If there is no plugin .dll for the game, it's not needed.
    - Forward the required port with your PC's IP in your router.

    Launch the dashboard:
    - Start the program and select the game you are going to play.
    - Open this website: http://dash.proracing.club/
    - Enter your PC's local IP and the port number.
    - And click launch dashboard.

Anyone in the world can view your dashboard, timing and data graphics... :)
So a thru engineering tool for @Simon Christmann to help you out with some details.

What Simon needs to do to view your data.
    - Open this website: http://dash.proracing.club/
    - Enter your PC's external IP and the port number.
    - And click launch dashboard.

External IP: Click here to know your External IP. Send this IP and the Port number to your engineer.

  3. I am quite sure its the app DashmeterPro, not ProRacing Dashboard that jimortality asks about.

Anyway Yes. I like it, well worth the money. It works fine if you have a good phone/tablet of good size. I use my phone with a 5" display, mounted in a phone holder for a car dashboard. Its very useful.

  4. yes well worth the money, which lets face it isn't exactly breaking the bank!

Call me paranoid but I don't like opening ports on my firewall if I don't have to, a path to my internal network from Internet computers/services. Not saying this isn't a good solution for a dashboard, just not for me.

I use DashMeterPro for all my sims.

  7. You only need to open the ports if you want someone from extern to watch your telemetry. If you want to use it inside your own network you can keep the ports closed :)

And the extrenal part is at the moment a bit heavy on traffic. But @Stefan Mizzi is improving it

Yes it is, I want it for my phone

  9. I am also a happy user of DashMeterPro (I use both the rFactor 2 and iRacing versions and the former has slightly better telemetry because the rFactor 2 API provides more data). I use it on a 7" tablet mounted in my dashboard. Ran long races with it without any problem whatsoever.

What does it give me that the game doesn't. I can see how my tires are in game and how much fuel.

It's not only what it can display. It's an immersion killer for me to have tire info, lap time/splits, gear/shift graphics interfering with what I would normally see thru my windshield IRL.

For I like the dash meter pro display because you can customise it with as much or as little as info you want or need.

Also the LCD style display to me gives my rig that touring, GT car feel when racing which gives me that little bit of extra immersion.

I have several versions that cover most of the popular sim titles on the PC and it runs a treat on a low powred 6" Android tablet I got cheap off eBay.

Jim, if you go to the play store you can see the screens they give you a good idea of what it's like. Like Jason I have several versions and like it's customability (if that's even a word). On top of that you have 5 day refund policy so you can give it a try.

    All the gear, no idea...

Same as kenny I also own 3 or 4 versions of dashmeter pro for various games and other than odd lag spikes it's a great app but I've also been wanting to try the web based dash that Gijs linked to, from what I've seen that is also a very good option, and being web based will run on any OS on any phone or tablet as long as it has a browser.

    It works!

  16. hell yah its worth it. I have it for all of my sims.

  17. For the price of a cheap 7" tablet, that lets face it are pretty useless for anything and make you want to punch them in the screen, everytime they hang or run out of memory. I have had 2 or 3 that have died but I couldn't do without dashmeter, I would advise to have them on charge whilst racing though, especially if over the wifi network as the battery drains quickly.
I spent a couple of euro on a length of alu angle and pop rivitted a little mount together, it works very well.

I got a used Go Tab 6 on eBay for about £5 or so and its rubbish with a pretty average resolution screen and not much on board storage and a couple of years old CPU but for running the light weight app dash meter pro it's ideal and works perfectly.

I used some modified over door clothes hooks to mount my table to my wheel base.

And I like the LCD option which to me gives it that touring car look.

Really glad I got this but I don't seem to find the fuel part that tells you how many laps worth of fuel you have remaining. Cheers

I dont think that feature is in the RF2 version of the app.

The screen shot above of my setup is the iracing version of the app that does have this feature.
