Ive been working hard on this new title for the last 1.5 years. I put together a quick video showing some of the "newer features" I have been implementing in the last few weeks. This is still a work in progress and as i am doing it all as a one man band, some things need a little tweaking. The whole framework of the title is in place and working great though. My focus now is getting a little funding for new sound development, a new Unity software upgrade to bring the title up to DX11 and some help for marketing and distribution. (Ive started studying and working on a kickstarter this month so i can pay someone to help me with all the new engine sounds.. ) So far (without any optimizing) im getting 50-60 frames on a triple screen setup maxed out graphic quality. (5760x1280) (2.4ghz quad, 6950 ati, 8gigs ram). We should know more about specs when the beta testers get their hands on it and give feedback on different setups. My desk development computer just cant cut it anymore so i have moved to sitting in my race rig and coding for the last few months. SOOOO uncomfortable. Its actually making me finish this thing even faster.. So far i have 4 Vehicles (2 karts/ 2 Trucks) and 2.5 tracks finished. I am still working on packaging and polishing a build for the folks who are on the beta list. i will send an email to all of you in the coming weeks with more info on that. Some stuff shown in this video: - new "Pro2 and Pro4" Trucks - Updated Karts (both pro and Lite) - Finished the wheel calibration system for all wheels from 180 -1080 - Finished the new "Auto wheel setup ON/OFF" (basically sets your wheel to the proper degrees for the chosen car, similar to iracings..or chose your own.) - Finished the Mud and debris build up from driving. - More panel damage and crash/squeak sounds. - More interactive environment. ie; moving trees, grass, flags and signage. - New weather and day/time adjustments affect car performance and grip level. - New interactive GPS Menu for large maps and not getting lost while exploring new trails and features on large maps. (not shown in this video...next one) - more to come as always. Working on currently: - Sounds - New skidmarks/tire marks and dust controllers. - tuning multiplayer code. - building the beta test websites and finalizing logos. - feed the dogs.
