CPU and GPU occupancy

    Pcars seems to use more the CPU than the GPU in my i5 4590 and GTX970.
    CPU occupancy stays on 80% average, while GPU uses around 50%. Racing in Le Mans, 55 cars, Thunderstorm at night. No Vsync.
    In replays GPU use rises to 80% average.
    The CPU is bottlenecking the GPU or is bad optimization of the game? (driver problems maybe?)

    P.S.: Have this issue with AC if i lock framerate, but otherwise GPU hits full use.

    Makes sense. In race the CPU has to do AI and physics. Replay is replaying the recorded events so no real time calculations.

    If your GPU is sitting at 50% waiting for the CPU to finish its job you can up graphical options that are GPU heavy like AA and AO

    Project CARS is known to be quite CPU Heavy - especially with so many AIs
    I guess youre bottlenecking or at the edge of it. Try less cars and check if things have improved
