Love the looks of this skin, but cannot drive in game. It loads but when I go on track it changes to white C6R with not Compuware logos. What am I doing wrong?

i have no idea, have you tried reinstalling it, thats my only idea, do you have the latest version of the mod?

Brownninja97 updated Corvette DP Compuware with a new update entry:

compatibility update

A while back the textures for this car changed from png to dds, I only realised it was broken since I tried the recent update hence the release of this fix.

The skin is for IER Corvette Daytona Prototype not for Corvette C6R. Or was the mention of C6R in your post just a mistake?
