Controller numbering in GTL?

Maybe someone here knows about this one?

Is there any way to change the numbering sequence for the Controllers used in GTL? I've searched around but no luck.

To explain, I have been using three controllers, Joy 1= Fanatec Wheel, Joy 2= CSP Pedals, Joy 3= G25 Shifter via Bodnar adapter.

I have just acquired a new Sim Gear Shifter.

When I swap the G25 Shifter for the Sim Gear Shifter, I end up with Joy 1 = Sim Gear Shifter, Joy 2 = Fanatec Wheel, Joy 3 = CSP pedals. This causes me to have to re-set all of my Controller assignments again every time I swap them over.
Maybe this happens every time you change a Controller anyway, dunno, but it's a bit of a pain.

Anybody aware of a way to change the "Joy=" assignment order in GTL? I'd like the Shifter as Joy 3.

It all still works ok after I re-set the assignments though.

That will have more to do with the way windows sees the controllers than what GTL sees. For whatever reason, the shifter is receiving a higher priority. Having said the blindingly obvious, I'm not sure that you can change it, especially if the priority is assigned via the hardware.

I used to use JoyIDs for managing multiple controllers but that was back on WinXP. I haven't tried it with Win7 but it may still work. You can find it here.

Thanks Ross, I'm using WinXP for my SimRacing, so this looks like it might be what I need.
I'll give it a go.
