Any clues on a wing setup here? I keep reading the circuit is front end limited and am seeing setups with high front wings, mine is 6 atm and feels ok.

Haven't had a run here yet Gareth but should do tonight. I usually have my front wing set around the 4-6 mark for tracks like this and am not expecting that to change much but will confirm once I have tried it out.

  8. Not much'll stop me racing but my broken foot will. Hope to be back before season ends though.

  11. Lol, that woulda made it more bearable. Was moving heavy rocks around in the garden yesterday evening and lost grip of it. Converses don't protect bones that well:laugh:

  12. Make you skateboard like a legend though apparently.
    • Haha Haha x 3
  13. 3/1. There are too many straights to have anything higher.

Well your going to shag your tyres hard with that Mark on full fuel that long right is going to ruin that left big time.

  15. Turns 1, 3 and 4. Won't even get halfway round a lap without doing the tyres in with low wings. Im running low....but not that low.

  16. I tested this earlier in the year, and under ideal conditions, the difference in tyre wear between 1/1 wings and 11/11 wings is only 1 lap. That difference is way too small to be running 15 mph slower than everyone else on the straights. Not to mention, many of the guys in other leagues with crazy low times (1:23.1 at India) were running around 2/1 through 4/1.

  17. What league was this exactly be interested to have a peek at that. You can run high wing and long gears if set up is correct for the record :)

  18. AOR.

I don't know what you mean.
  19. I feared you were going to say AOR, They race 50% distance so essentially no tyre wear just flat out racing.

You can run 9/1 and get a high speed if you gear the car to accelerate fast enough.

Also you can probably add 2-3 seconds from theres to our times

  20. I never mentioned tyre wear regarding AOR. :O_o: I was just saying that at best in a 100% race, there is a 1 lap difference in tyre wear. Then I said that AOR has very fast times with their 3/1 setups at India, which implies qualifying.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, the front wing has zero effect on speed. Only the rear wing. Not very realistic, but what can you do? I'll test it again later today when I do tyre wear tests at India to see if they changed it from how it was earlier this year.
