"circuit missing"

I am new to SIM racing, and new to modding.

Two tracks I have tried, Dubai and Monaco, have given me message "missing circuit", then given me option to "try and fix". I am trying Time Attack, but can only get part way into a lap before game ends.

Where do I find the piece I am missing, and how will I install it?

I am using Content Manager.

I don't think Time Attack works on many mod tracks unless the creator has built that in.

Ha! That was it! Went to practice mode and no issues at all.

Time attack is FUBAR anyway, even on the Kunos tracks where it "works", so to speak. The points system is completely illogical, you don't get points by driving well, you get points by driving badly in a specific way. That's why track modders don't waste time setting it up. Forget it exists.

Ah - that makes sense. Can't remember why I started there, just went to single player and landed on Time Attack.

I have been trying out practice while I try to get used to tracks and cars.

Go to Hot Lap and enable Ghost replay, then you'll have your quickest lap played out in front of you (or if you are getting faster behind you).
