eBay Motorsport today launched their exciting entry to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Their 2013 team will be made up of the drivers from last season, Rob Collard & Nick Foster. However, 2009 champion Colin Turkington, will be returning to the team - after driving in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship in 2011, and sporadically competing in the World Touring Car Championship in 2012; and will complete West Surrey Racing's three car entry.

West Surrey Racing - for whom eBay is the title sponsor - has used an S2000 class BMW 320sis since 2007. The car was unveiled at eBay's HQ in Richmond-upon-Thames yesterday. The team said they chose the 125i, due to it being "of the smallest car in the BMW range being deemed as the one most suited to the challenges that the BTCC provides."

“We looked at the different models in the BMW range and the latest 3 Series is a bigger car than the older version of the car,” race engineer Drew MacDonald explained. “The circuits in the UK are better suited to a smaller and more nimble car so the 1 Series was the better option for us. Not only is it smaller, it’s also lighter, so it was a natural choice."

The 2013 BTCC season kicks off on the 31st at Brands Hatch, Kent - and will coincide with the calendar of races for the British Formula Ford Championship
