I've recently bought a Hauppauge HD PVR-2 Capture device. I have no complaints with the device itself, but it comes with some software called ArcSoft ShowBiz, which quite frankly is awful. It's great for capturing (apart from the size of the videos, but that's probably because it's in HD)
I was just wondering if any of you guys knew of the best program to use to record and edit videos with. Unfortunately you cannot record with ArcSoft and open in say Windows Movie Maker, because the file type (AVCHD) is not supported by WMM.
If you guys have any words of wisdom for the best software to use with this, I would be greatly appreciative.
The only program I know that works with the AVCHD file type as well as ArcSoft is Pinnacle Studio, which isn't cheap!
Just seems a major pain at the moment for recording races or laps in Time Trial!
