Earlier this month Gene Haas (owner of Haas NASCAR racing team) announced it's interest in a potential F1 team after the FIA's "call for expression of interest" regarding a new F1 team.

Bernie Eccelstone recently commented to Racer that he feels a Haas F1 team is unlikely, quoted as saying “Somebody can have 10 billion in the bank but it doesn’t mean they are going to spend it.”.

Of course it's unlikely, it would mean another team leeching money from poor Bernie.
