    Woohoo! :D:D:D

I knew this mod was being developed, didn't know about the release though.
Charging off to get it now.

    Thanks Jari. :thumb:

Hmmnnn! First experience was that it made my oldish PC chug along rather slowly, with replays as stuttery as hell. Maybe I have to run the low res cars on my system

    But oh the memories. :D:D:D:D:D

And the falcon in low res car format. Improved the frame rate quite a bit on my system.

I have 44fps in start of Bathurst with 25 cars. I have 1.8 mHz Core 2 duo and Ati Radeon 4850 graphics card. Had a good luck when my old Radeon 2900 XT broke under 2 year warranty and got the 4850 free.

    Great and fun mod. Recommended.

    peace

I would say HistoriX is the best mod for rFactor now. The cars feels just so absolutely great...specially for example Ford Escort and Capri.
Legends mod is also great. It has great sounds and the car hadling is pretty good.
These cars reward smooth steering and gas use because they have tendency to oversteer middle and end of corners. Setup tweaking helps a litlle. On G25 you really feel the weight of these cars when driving corners. Great mod and well worth of trying

    peace

My first impression is that the HistorX mod is better, the cars look a little better, and there is much more variety in the HistorX mod, as expected.
The Bathurst Legends feels pretty good to me and about what I remember of these big heavy and rather softly sprung cars. I was also only using default setups, so no doubt that can be tweaked.
It certainly has the fun factor for me, but of course I am a biased Aussie who grew up with these icon cars.

Incidently, the Falcon GT HO's were so rare (only made enough for Bathurst race legality, that they are worth an absolute fortune now. One was advertised recently at auction (in perfect condition) for AUD$500,000.
