    hey guys,

I've been rewatching some awesome racevids from RD
more precisely the footage with the gtr evolution cars (club, sport en pro)
where Hoogendoorn, Ascher, Kaukola and many others are having lots of
close racingbattles (one of the best RDvids in my opinion).

Does anyone know if they where driving
with traction control on (full, low) or off?

I've been driving the R8 for a few days now
and I can't understand how, for example hoogendoorn
(who was driving one), kept this nervous beast :woot2:
under control in these hectic situations
    certainly if TC wasn't enabled.

    Hi

All races are with TC off, no aids at all.

    What wheel do you have?

I have a G25, very good wheel imo

    Damn that's really something.
No aids at all.... and hardly any mistakes.
Are these guys what they call 'the aliens' here at RD?

All our events are with TC off with one exception in the last two years: the current RDLMS league in rfactor, which is designed to use with traction control.

Personally i don't mind the use of driving aids at all, but i am a minority :)

    It's worth it! :nailbiting:

In one race here at RD happens more than in a whole season of F1.
(which is actually sad for F1 when you think about it...)

Better driving without any aids = RD!
Driving aids don't do anything to make you a better driver.
Turn them off and keep on driving!

    you're right.

after a hundred times going off the track
I got tempted to turn on the TC
    but I didn't and I must say
I'm startin' to get a grip on the R8
    and that feels darn gooooood!!

Cars can be made easier to drive without spinning if you get the setup right. Generally I'm thinking these guys run soft rear suspension settings and Anti-roll bars, with low differential lock... at least that's what I do to make the accelerator easier to hammer. :)

    aha,

I've to write that down somewhere
    interesting info...

I've been practising with the simbin setup now at valancia
It's a very good one imo
very stable and you feel the car very well
