Current Williams development driver and former Red Bull junior Alex Lynn is set to test for Toyota at Bahrain later this month.

The young Britain, who has been rising steadily through the ranks in the past few seasons is set to trial Toyota's current TS040 Hybrid following the 6 Hours of Bahrain in conjunction with his GP2 duties as well.

Lynn will also be joined by Sam Bird who is currently competing in Formula E, having secured a podium finish last time out in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen, who completed a successful test session last weekend with Porsche, will also be in action again with the German outfit along side Juan Pablo Montoya.

Lynn currently has no previous experience of the WEC, however having sampled Formula 1 machinery on several occasions, and as the reigning GP3 champion, this test session could put him on good footing should Toyota follow through on their aim to field a third LMP1 car in 2017.

The WEC season finale takes place on November 21 at the Bahrain International Circuit.
