Tracks AI Updates - moved over from assettocorsa forum

  1. Hello,

    Thread moved from the now closed assetto corsa forum. New releases will be posted here.

    I plan on updating and sharing some ai fast lines for various tracks. As usual ignore the first couple of laps due to the ai preferring to drive in 2 files around the track.

    I found that this explanation can be very useful to slow ai cars down at particular corners especially for hairpins or corkscrews. From what I understand it is basically the same as an individual cars brake_hint value but overrides this for a specific track so that all types of cars slow down.

    Please please please do Longford 67 and Estoril. I, and many others, would be eternally grateful.

    Lonford is a great track which I now never use cos the AI can't make it over the bridge (and have problems in the section before that too)

  6. I tried your Estoril AI: excellent! Massively better - it's perfect now.

    I also tried Monaco and Albert Park. It's all excellent. You're making huge improvements. I'll use more of your files in the coming days.

    So what about the AI lines now that the 1.7 version is out? They still work, I guess?
    Are you planning on doing a new AI line for Road America? The mod is great, but there are two curves (Kink & Thunder Valley), where the AI slows down or even brakes which makes no sense at all.

    @Fabian Biehne - i had a go at improving the speed through the chicanes however I believe the braking may be car specific via tire grip and the Brake_hint value. Thanks

    Thx for the new lines! Tried it out this morning. Seems to be better, but at the fast right hander (The Kink) they still slow down, though you can take this corner flatout. Could be down to my grip settings (green track conditions). After that I tried a race with just one opponent and grip settings at 100% and it was a bit better (though the AI still couldn’t take the corner flatout).
