    You need to ditch that template. All you need to do for solid colors is use the metal_detail.dds
    You can then use a 128X128 square named skin_00_map to make different effects. (black will make the paint appear matte, for instance)

    Doing this you will still have the carbon fiber and AO map, which it seems you painted over using the temp template.

    Using the metal_detail.dds to apply a solid color does not work with every car. It does work just fine with the GT-R, but did not work properly on the Lotus 211 or the Corvette's. I may need to try using various alpha layers or masks to see if that affects anything.
