A little advice please...

....before tomorrows race...it concerns the tight bends at 'Mercedes Arena' as the track description app calls it...No matter how I approach these bends I cant get them right...especially concerning me is the choice of gear.....2nd seems like not enough and 3rd seems like too much.
Its probably my lack of driving skills but any help or suggestions here would be appreciated'
