2013 Round 12 Recap: Yeongam, Korea

Mikko Puumalainen and Fred Gosling, from Finland and Great Britain respectively, have won the ninth round of the 2013 FSR Fantasy League with 99 points! Congratulations! Teams are now open. Finland's championship leader, Mikko Puumalainen, took his second round victory in the 2013 FSR Fantasy League, sharing the honours with Great Britain's Fred Gosling, who took his maiden round win. With their Gamepad Racing and Chrome Pipe Racing teams, they both scored 99 points with identical lineups, consisting of Bono Huis, Jeffrey Rietveld, Jernej Simoncic and Franz Schnyder. 2012 FSR Fantasy League champion, Czech Republic's Ondrej Kuncman, was 3rd on 85 points.

With all four main championship contenders placing in the Top 5 this round, the battle for the Thrustmaster Y-250C Gaming Headset is more thrilling than ever! With his round victory, Mikko Puumalainen increased the gap to 17 points and now leads the standings on 715 points. Franz Schnyder remains 2nd on 698 points, Ondrej Kuncman kept 3rd on 695 points, while David Dominguez stays close on 689 points. Only 26 points separate the top 4 candidates with just 3 rounds remaining!

Fred Gosling joins Ondrej Kuncman (x2), Franz Schnyder, Javier Álvarez, Wim van Velden, David Dominguez, Benjamin Chong, Sam Jones and Victor Pau Bellver Lopez as a contender for the other Thrustmaster Y-250C Gaming Headset that will be drawn among all round winners at the end of the season. Mikko Puumalainen is not elegible for prizes as he holds the WC Race Director position.

Driver Results & Costs

Winning his sixth race in a row, Bono Huis was once again the round's top scorer, with 37 Fantasy points, despite not starting from pole this time. 2nd and 3rd place finishers Jeffrey Rietveld and Ivar Kalamees were also the round's 2nd and 3rd top scorers, on 31 and 27 points respectively.

Bono Huis remains the top overall scorer in the 2013 FSR Fantasy League, with 315 points. Ivar Kalamees remains 2nd in the list (222 points), while Jernej Simoncic reclaimed 3rd (146 points) from Jack Keithley.

Drivers' market costs were updated. Jeffrey Rietveld (+900$), Alex Diaz (+600$), Petar Brljak (+200$) and Franz Schnyder (+200$) were the drivers who climbed the costs ladder the most. Remember that the drivers that you already have on your team will continue to cost you what they did when you included them on your lineup.

Official Mini-Leagues
  • Drivers Challenge: Franz Schnyder took his third Mini-League victory with 83 points and remains its leader (698 points). Ivar Kalamees (78 points) was 2nd and Danny Van der Niet 3rd (76 points).
  • Team Managers Challenge: Ondrej Kuncman (Precision Motorsports, 85 points) took his fifth victory in this Mini-League, which he continues to dominate (695 points). David Dominguez (Twister-Racing, 83 points) was 2nd, with Javier Alvarez (Positive SimRacing, 73 points) in 3rd.
  • Administrators Challenge: Overall round winner Mikko Puumalainen won his third Mini-League round with 99 points, ahead of David Dominguez (83 points) and Pedro Rodrigues (68 points). Also the overall leader, Puumalainen is at the top of the Mini-League standings with 715 points.
