Alonso has to have earned the award for the worst excuse of the season, by pretty much blaming the tyres for his poor qualifying session and says the medium and hard favor RBR and Mercedes (That is true) but didn't he win the last time Medium and Hards were used?

Having problems on Friday but looked much better in FP3 being a tenth or so off Rosberg.
One can only assume either Hamilton solved his problems or Rosberg maybe did not maximize his potential.

Strange year... Merc no doubt has built one hell of a car with low fuel.

You know, he literally said that even though the chosen tyres are not beneficial to Ferrari, he doesn't want to blame Pirelli. How biased can you possibly get?

I don't know what track temperatures were exactly in Spain but they were surely significantly higher than this weekend.
Besides what did Merc and RB were doing after the first few races and why is RB suddenly so quite now (we all know why Merc suddenly shuts up)? It's probably not the best excuse by Alonso but I definitely can't see how it is any worse.

We'll know after tomorrow if the tire choice was ok or too conservative.

If Merc really did something illegal you won´t get banned from a young driver´s test.
you´d get DSQ from the championship and maybe pay a couple of hundred millions to FIA.

This situation was FIA realizing they had made some mistakes, slapped Merc on the wrist and split the bill three ways.
