In DTM atleast you have the car developed by the manufacturer even though it contains a lot of generic parts between the makes.

And who cares?
It will be great racing between the two brands never the less

Sure, but can you at least provide me with a link or something? I've been trying to google it but nothing. I've been following the news about tta for while now, and citroëns participation seems to be a done deal.

Whatever you say it is still BRANDED as SAAB and Volvo and they have technical personal and support from both sides.

No, all TTA "cars" will use the SolutionF Nissan 3.5 V8 engine, which is used also in the Formula Renault 3.5 and the Megane Eurocup.

Its still got employees of Volvo / Flash engineering plus all the other teams setting up the car, doing work on the car.

V6 engines, plus KERS system. But rumors (in swedish) says that in the future TTA cars might run with turbocharged 1.6l four-cylinder engines.

If the rear wing provides too much downforce, is there a chance that it will fall off (the screws holding it to the mounting on the top of the wing)? (smiley was to show sarcasm)

On a serious note, I think it's a shame that STCC went down like it did. I would rather watch proper S2000 spec touring cars than these high-tech machines. Although most of my friends that follow racing have the "more horsepower = better racing" theory, I don't think ths is the case.

Well that's what happens when STCC didn't want to listen to the majority of the teams.
Same thing almost happen to F1 a few years ago but F1 management backed down, STCC didn't and now has to take the blunt.
