Good to see that F1's cost-saving measures have worked in the past 3-4 years.

I doubt it Thats probably whats in the books officially. Unofficially I am pretty sure the big spenders still put in a lot of money on other areas to secure their lead.

In which case Red Bull could pull out within a few years of selling Toro Rosso, unless they start finding drivers outside of their Young Driver Program. It's possible, they achieved their goal of winning the WDC and WCC twice, but I think they'll still stay around now that they've tasted success.

If Red Bull Racing starts declining and becoming less successful, the brand with withdraw without a doubt.

It is like they say, F1 is the biggest advertising pillar in the world.
Everyone, even people who never watches F1, knows that Red Bull is in F1 and winning.

It would be nice if we lived in a fantasy world where we could see all the sales that had come from the fact that it says Red Bull on two cars.

But won't the Ferrari engine cost a lot more then the VW engine plus we are talking about a team with a very small budget.

Oh I didn't know that. Well then, why would a Ferrari engine be good for HRT? (explain. )

From HRT's point of view, yes it's an investment, but they're going to be routed to the bottom of the championship if they stay with Cosworth.
From Ferrari's point of view, it's an extra $8m in their pocket and more exposure.

Yea but how much TV coverage did they get back then being mere sponsor compared to being 2-time world champions.

Back then it was all Ferrari/Mclaren. Now RBR is mentioned in the same sentence as the big two.
