2012 GT3 European Championship

Does anyone happen to know if the lack of a diffuser on the GT3 DBRS9 (and possibly the Gallardo--can't tell for sure from photos) is due to FIA regulation or manufacturer choice? It seems to be the only car without one, and the GT1 class car in the same family has one. I know in the past that FIA restricted wing size on some cars to limit downforce, but I was not aware of them doing it with diffusers. The rulings information on the GT3 website is pretty sparse and seems to mostly be dealing with driver classification.

Well, looking at photo's from both cars you can clearly see that there is some sort of regulation of the airflow at the rear of both cars. I wouldn't call it diffusers like in other designs but there is something there...

I got bored and emailed Aston, who said that the DBRS9 was designed without a diffuser. That first photo is actually the new Vantage, slightly different. Good find on those though, much clearer than what I was looking at.
