Okay, apparently Charlie Whiting has already approved of this helmet :p

Quick translation of the relevant part since it's in German:
Even though there's nothing in the rules about such show effects, Bürger [the guy who designed the helmet] got the 'Okay' from race director Charlie Whiting ahead of the practice session. The FIA has no quarrels with its use. One may wonder what the competition thinks of it once a blue-flashing Vettel appears in their rear mirrors.

Two aggresive drivers up front, hopefully all the parts will stay on the cars. Sad to see Kobayashi fading more and more compared to Perez, although both Sauber's (and Lotus'es for that matter) are struggling. Also do you guy's think Mercedes tire strategy will payoff? I don't. Vettel also shut off in Q3, but still got ahead of Alonso. We need Hamilton and Vettel to finish ahead of Alonso so bad...

Hamilton just tore through the track for that hot lap. Found it funny how his last lap(which wasn't his quickest, it was ~3-4 tenths off) was still quicker than everyone else. Will be a great race tomorrow for sure, looking forward to it.
