u guys need to see this from a certain point of perspective:

Say it was Hamilton in the hunt for the WDC against Vettel and it was Narain doing this to Hamilton!...this forum would explode with nasty remarks against Narain!

See ,Narain isnt even a legitimate backmarker,he is just there circulating 7-8sec off the pace..almost as fast as Mercedes..
..would u not agree that if the US GP was the last race, this guy would be linched for causing Vettel or Hamilton or Alonso the Championship?!!
..it doesnt matter what Charlie said!!
..what matters is that ur just a backmarker, severely off the pace and when the leaders are in your mirrors ur to do anything in your powers not to IMPEDE them..in ANY WAY!!!!!
If it takes moving off track ..then thats what it is!!!
This guy needs someone to grab his hand and explain things to him like on a 5yrs old..cuz he just isnt getting it!!
Passing back markers is all part of the F1 show. the drivers should be planning for this just like Hamilton planned to attack using the the back marker.

Vettel got lucky in Abu Dhabi and perhaps a little unlucky in the US grand prix. he is allowed to moan but he should know throughout F1 back markers have always been there and done the same thing. I would have thought he'd be used to it by now.

You can look at it from every perspective you like but the subject doesn't change.
Just because the leaders are fighting for WDC doesn't change anything.
Backmarkers can't just evaporate off track. They also have the right to race no matter how slow they are as as long as they are within 107% in Q1.

Just read Kimi is the only driver on the grid that has finished every single race this season.
Good reliable car and a good driver.

Also scored in every one except China where he went from 2nd to 14th in a matter of a few laps.

As for having to get off-track to let the other drivers through, really? :O_o:

sure, the guy is severely off the pace...what 7-8sec per lap slower ,a sitting duck for a Red Bull or a McLaren!!!
...its called common sense Jordi...and its not like im suggesting for him to move on the grass or sand trap...he got caught through a section where he couldve taken a slightly off track line and still maintained his pace ,without impeding the leaders...even Coulthard was irritated by Narains lack of common sense...he was all by himself ,not racing anyone...with a blue flag button flashing on his steering wheel!
Just cuz Charlie told him its okay, doesnt mean ur to sit there and block people...because u know its okay!...move away from the racing line, put two wheels over the white line and let them go by and its done.
If this was De la Rosa ,he woulntve allowed himself to get caught through that section in a first place, but thats Pedro

Ivan, did you see Practice 1?

The dirty part of the track is basically like driving on ice, in a fast cornering zone. To get off the line he would have had to slow down to a crawl, which would be also be dangerous.

I'm pretty sure if Pedro or Kovalainen (both pretty good drivers) got caught in that zone, they wouldn't have let anyone through.

so you're saying it cant be done?

i think it can be done.....if u pause the video at exactly 1 41 just before 1 42 u can see that Katrekyian colud've ran that corner wide(on the right side off the racing line) allowing both drivers through, insted he doest it on the next corner which allows Lewis to catch up

And then spin in the dust (If the track was that slippery in P1, imagine how slippery that runoff would be, nobody goes there), also most probably get the grass just a tad further up... The car would also be unbalanced by jumping the kerbing,

It is highly discourage for backmarker to run off-track to allow someone by, they have to wait until they can move off safely, or if being followed too closely ease off a little bit on a straight so the lapping car can overtake him easily.
