I think Valentino proved he's more than just the boys of the 80's and 90's by the way he did in 2000 and 2001, he won on what was still classed as the Animal NSR500, he then went on to excel in the Moto GP Class and still does. And it's been since Lawson since someone lost the title and then took it back

I must say I wasnt pleased when they went to the four stroke engines but they did say they had taken the 2 stroke development as far as they could.
I do miss the FRRRAAAAAPPPPP BBBWWWWAAAAAAARRRR! of the 500's Real bikes, Real power delivery! You cant beat a 2 stroke for that!

Rotery wankel engined JPS norton. My dad even ran the number 15 on his outfit (sidecar) and race bike!

I was there in pit lane after the race with my family as my fathers company had a hospitality suite right on the start line.

Ron was my dads hero, My dad got an autograph that day. He finished 12th and that was a good day at the office for him that day. The americans just walked it and won

Its a shame that them Transnational events don't happen any more. My dad went to all the ones that Sheene went to back in the 70's and early 80's.
