US 1988 Formula Classic @ Montreal 1988 on Wednesday May 13th, 2015

  1. [​IMG]We are going to run some open wheelers. This week on Wednesday the 13th of May 2015 we race the Formula Classic at Montreal 1988. Lets have some fun!

    The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is tight, so the damage will be set low to keep suspension damage to a minimum.

    Practice: 20:00 EDT (20 minutes)
    Qualifying: 20:20 EDT (15 minutes)
    Warm up: 20:35 EDT (3 minutes)
    Race 1: 20:38 EDT (20 minutes)

    Race 2: Right after first race. EDT (20 minutes, full reversed grid)

    These were some great cars. Scary but for the most part controllable. A very easy to run track, stay off the curbs, go like stink, slow down to a crawl, go like stink, repeat! :D:D

    Too bad short notice and few drivers but it kept us alive, traffic would have been brutal!

  6. Only three of us, but it was a blast!!! Steve was fast, and I got down to six seconds faster than I started. Dennis was consistently faster than me. Great practice guys. Next week, same car @ Johannesburg Historic.:)

  7. Regardless of the small field, that was a lot of fun. Congrats to Dennis for both wins! Keeping on the track and not crashing into the walls at high speed is something I gotta work on. That track has some really sketchy sections, but fun nonetheless.

    Historic Kyalami next week should be great: much faster, less technical, way less sketchy. Hope we can get more to join us. :whistling:
